Born Robyn Rihanna Fenty on February 20th in Barbados, she is a talented performer. She's not so much a great singer, more like a great performer. Today is the birth date of this Bajan born singer. At the age of 15, Rihanna received her big break when one of her friends introduced her to music producer Evan Rogers, who was vacationing in Barbados with his wife. Rogers, along with his partner, Carl Sturken, helped Rihanna record material in the US which was sent to various recording companies. One copy of Rihanna's work was sent to Jay-Z, who eventually signed her to his record label Island Def Jam Records. At only 19 she had accomplished more then people do in their entire lifetime. She has dropped two hot albums (within a year) “Music of the Sun” and her sophomore album “A Girl like Me.” I am so proud of her. I am also 19 (in June) and I feel like I’ve grown so much through high school. Ms. RiRi has expanded all over the world with millions of fans. You can tell she loves to perform.
